Description: Applets for hypergeometric distribution, Poisson distribution, normal distribution, proportions, confidence intervals for means, the central limit theorem, bivariate normal distribution, linear regression, and Buffon's needle. The introduction to probability models defines the terms random variable, distribution, and sample histogram; and illustrates them with an applet that plots the sample histogram for the random variable X, the sum of the values showing on a dice throw, and for the expected number of occurrences of that random variable.
