| TERC LabNet Project | |
| The LabNetwork, carried on America Online (AOL), provides a meeting place for over 700 teachers to support each other in experimenting with new teaching strategies, reflect on their teaching experiences, problem-solve, share resources, and build collegial connections with their peers. This paper addresses: helpful attitudes toward moderating; strategies for intentionally fostering dialogues that are rich in the details of classroom experience; methods for initiating, directing, and sustaining dialogues; a variety of communication styles, in terms of timing and tone; and opportunities to identify, practice, and inquire about these techniques. | |
